Jonathan Kelsey is the custom shop builder for NS Design, working under Ned Steinberger building NS Design bass guitars.   Working with Ned, Jonathan has learned how to combine the patient hand of a fine woodworker with the innovations of modern instrument building technology to create instruments which are one of a kind collaborations of art and science.  A cabinet maker by trade, Jon is the owner of a small carpentry business, JK Custom Woodworking.  Currently Jon works out of his shop in Mid-Coast Maine creating both custom cabinets and furniture as well as the extraordinary  guitars you see on this website.  Have a look around and let us know what you think.  Thanks for visiting!
